Lore & Background
Within the harsh desert lands, Nabooru rose through the ranks of the Gerudo tribe to stand beside their king. However, she possessed a conscience that refused to accept his descent into darkness. While others followed blindly, she recognized the danger he posed to Hyrule and chose to protect the sacred light instead.
Her dissent led to her imprisonment within the Spirit Temple, where she was held captive by forces loyal to Ganondorf. There she waited for a hero capable of breaking the seal on evil. Upon Link’s arrival, she guided him through the trials necessary to awaken the temple's power, sacrificing her freedom to ensure the Sage light would remain active.
In the adult timeline, Nabooru joins the other Sages in the Sacred Realm. Her spirit energy helps reinforce the seal that traps Ganon, ensuring peace for Hyrule. She represents the ideal of strength rooted in morality rather than blind loyalty.
In Their Own Story
Bound within the inner chambers of the Spirit Temple, Nabooru endures captivity under the watch of a silent Iron Knuckle. When Link defeats the guardian and frees her from the cage, she wastes no time on pleasantries. Acknowledging his destiny without fanfare, she immediately bestows the Spirit Medallion, allowing her light to join the Seven Sages in their holy duty.

Functioning as a pivotal NPC within the Spirit Temple questline, Nabooru challenges Link's resolve before rewarding it.
